Attached are your training and nutritional protocols for Week 5 – please review each day closely.

Attention to Details

Dedicate some extra time and effort to eating and drinking consistently.  I realize that we discuss this frequently; however, a small oversight has a negative effect on your overall health and performance.  The good news is that you are getting leaner and stronger; the bad news is you are getting leaner and more susceptible to running out of energy (because your body fat levels is lower and you are more efficient at burning stored sugar).

Also, please pay close attention to the soft tissue maintenance.  As you increase the load levels during cross training and sports specific training, your body will tighten up and will need to be addressed on a daily basis.  As you are completing your soft tissue work and find a “hot spot”, keep in mind that if the tissue is tender to the touch (or pressure), then that is an area within the muscle(s) that is susceptible to tearing in the case of a strain (the higher the intensity, the higher the probability).

If necessary, block out your schedule to ensure that you have time to complete these protocols effectively.  An ounce of pre-planning will go along way regarding these two areas.  Another idea behind the Work Smart, Not Hard and Avoid Overtraining!

Yours in sport & health,

-Coach Robb, Coaches and Staff

“I have never known a really successful individual who deep down didn’t understand the dedication and discipline it takes to be successful”
